This course is designed for young artists who are passionate about storytelling and love creative illustration making. In each session students will be given an opportunity to learn how to construct their ideas visually using a set of materials and references which are relevant to the topic. From making a three-dimensional set from their own drawings to collaboratively creating a picture book.
The course aims to give students an understanding of what they are naturally good at in visual makings and helps them obtain new vision for colour, scale, composition and page structure.
Using diverse cultural references, this course will equip students with knowledge about artists from around the world whose practice have distinctive cultural importance from one to another such as Lubaina Himid, Sonia Delaunay, David Hockney, Beatrice Alemagna and many more.
